Storyboard 1.
This project was for the book titled, “A Genuine Surprise”. It’s a first in a children’s books series that features a boy and his crocodile. The original concept was to create a curiosity with the transformation of what appears to be an odd bicycle seat into the emergence of something quite spectacular and scary.
The story begins when Leo doggedly asks his parents for the exotic Purple Eater Four Speed Bicycle with a genuine crocodile seat for his birthday! His delight quickly turns to horror when his gift transforms into a real life African crocodile! A chase ensues with what appears to be a situation of predator verses prey until the crocodile proves his intention of wanting to befriend Leo by saving him from a perilous fall. Leo and the crocodile become inseparable and journey on one exciting adventure after another.
Storyboard 2.
In collaboration with an Art Director attached with the Lego movies, I had the opportunity to pitch a storyboard scene. I was looking to build suspense quickly and introduce a new villain by creating a character with an electrifying dragon inspired attributes.
Storyboard 3.
The concept behind this rough storyboard was to create a reality versus the imagination visual effect, Abigail's creative mind gave her imagination lisence to see a situation and make it scarier that it was in reality. My goal was to combine a bunch of elements and emotions into this scene using her prospective view that the machine is a monster with a large toothed mouth, bulging eyes and a crazy long tongue.
The Scary Donut is a children's book, the story begins with Abigail, who just had a serious injury and is taken to the hospital emergency room. In the process of being evaluated, her fear and imagination get the best of her. Abigail, with the help of her father, overcomes her fears and does whats necessary and lies down very still and is scanned on the CT scanner ( The Scary Donut).
